Description

Explore Spain’s highest mountain and its national park
“Ain’t no mountain high enough”.

Teide, Spain’s highest peak and Europe’s second highest volcano, towers over the island of Tenerife with its 3,718 metres of otherworldly lava formations. This imposing rocky giant rises above a 5,000-metre deep seabed, stretches up to the sky and lives to the rhythm of its magmatic heart.

Teide is a one-of-a-kind transcendental place where earth, wind, ocean and lava come together. There is no better way to experience all four elements at once than the majestic Teide, a natural wonder with a totally unique aura.

Full description of the activity

The tour starts with hotel pick-up in the morning or afternoon, depending on the tour option chosen at the time of booking. After picking up the other participants, the bus will start ascending a picturesque mountain road with beautiful views and pine forests. The tour continues along the Cañadas del Teide route, in the heart of the Teide National Park, surrounded by a spectacular landscape of craters and solidified lava flows.

You will then head towards the Las Cañadas area, home to some of Tenerife’s most emblematic rock formations, such as the Roques de García and Zapatilla de Reina, magnificent examples of nature’s volcanic architecture. The Las Cañadas area is approximately 2200 metres above sea level and offers unique opportunities for photography in Tenerife.

On a clear day, the view from above is breathtaking; you will see many of Tenerife’s features and some of the other islands at the same time.

It is undoubtedly Tenerife’s most popular excursion; travellers from all over the world flock to Tenerife to admire this spectacle of nature.
